Hi, I’m Diana Chavez, a Licensed Professional Counselor. For more than 15 years, I’ve been working with individuals who are ready to make meaningful changes in their lives. I earned my M.A. in Clinical Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado in 2012 and since then I’ve dedicated my career to creating spaces where healing feels both possible and personal.
I specialize in evidence-based therapies like person-centered counseling, EMDR, CBT, mindfulness, and strength-based approaches. What does that mean for you? It means we’ll work together to create a plan that feels tailored, practical, and compassionate — a plan that fits your pace and your goals.
Being bilingual, I offer sessions in both English and Spanish, either in person in Aurora or online across Colorado. I often work with people navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, stress, self-esteem, spirituality, and women’s issues. But above all, I see each person as more than a diagnosis — I see you as someone with unique strengths, stories, and possibilities.
Awakening Hope is not just the name of my practice, it’s what I hope you will feel as we work together. Healing takes time, but you don’t have to go through it alone.
My professional path is grounded in both formal education and advanced therapeutic training. I believe ongoing learning is essential to providing the best care possible.
